One of my favorites this year.. Charcoal on newspaper, stained with watered-down acrylic. The object was a candlestick holder, and the 'smoke' coming out of the top has no real meaning behind it other than Mr. Brandt had just finished explaining the history of the word 'genius' so I say the 'smoke' is really a genie. :)
